LAURA SHEEHAN
I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and licensed U.S. attorney with over two decades of experience successfully navigating career transitions and life pivots. Having lived in eight countries and worked across four continents, I truly understand firsthand the challenges and opportunities that come with change. My coaching blends practical strategy with deep personal insight, helping clients align their values, strengths, and goals. With a career spanning international development, higher education, and U.S. Government service, I bring a strategic, globally informed approach to clients who are seeking more meaningful, purpose-driven work.
I currently serve as the Associate Director of Graduate Career Coaching at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service, where I lead career development initiatives for 2,000+ students across eleven graduate programs. In addition to my core responsibilities, I play a central role in Georgetown's Pivot with Purpose initiative-an innovative program designed to help mid- and senior-level professionals explore what's next and align their careers with their values, strengths, and aspirations.
Over the span of my coaching career, I have supported thousands of individuals - across industries and worldwide - in designing intentional, resilient careers, often in moments of transition or reinvention. My TEDx talk, viewed by over one million people (!), and my work across Asia, the Middle East, and the U.S. underscore my ability to connect across cultures and life stages. A skilled public speaker, workshop facilitator, and motivator, I help clients find clarity, regain confidence, and move forward with purpose.
I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Pivot team and would be honored to work with you on your pivot journey!
