🦠 25 Favorite Tips for WFH + What It's Like 2 Weeks In to Self-Quarantine (Hint: Ditch the Pinterest-Worthy Pressure)

While it can seem distracting and disorienting at first, working from home is an incredible opportunity to tune into your circadian rhythms and exactly how you work best.

Even though your new commute may just be from the bed to the living room to the office, you can still create rituals and boundaries that set you up for success when you start the day, and sanity when you end it.

I've been podcasting almost daily this week; in today's episode I share 25 of my favorite tips from nine years of working from home, and yesterday I posted an interview with Lindsay in the Greater Seattle Area, who had a two-week head start on self-quarantine and generously shares the in-the-moment ups and downs of her experience so far.

  • If you work within an organization and have been asked to WFH: see below for the recording of yesterday's Pivot workshop—it's geared toward exactly this situation!

  • Reminder for Solopreneurs: Now is the time small businesses need community, smart systems, and support more than ever—friendly reminder that Momentum enrollment closes tomorrow, Friday March 20: Learn more and join us here » (If you still have questions before deciding, I'm doing a Q&A session today at 10am ET on Zoom)

🦠 PODCASTING: PIVOTING AROUND A PANDEMIC

Background on this series: We are all dealing with massive amounts of uncertainty, pivots at work, and for many, the fear and anxiety that comes with not only the health concerns, but questions around how to maintain our livelihoods moving forward.

When Momentum member and pandemic expert Dr. Michael J. Consuelos reached out to offer himself as a resource to the JBE team and the MoMo community, I jumped at the chance to record a conversation for all of you as well, which has now turned into a full-blown series:

WATCH THE RECORDING: MAP WHAT'S NEXT (PANDEMIC EDITION)

There's no way around it — every day brings a new mental, emotional, work rollercoaster. I scheduled a slew of complimentary trainings this month, including my main interactive keynote for individuals within organizations: Pivot—Map What's Next for the Year Ahead.

Feeling frazzled myself from the daily "snow globe shake-up" of work and life shifts (even our Whole Foods was almost entirely empty so we couldn't quite scrounge together dinner!), I debated cancelling — before I realized now is the time we must talk about pivoting and navigating daily uncertainty.

Watch the video recording from yesterday's workshop — we had great discussion on how to apply the Pivot Method in an environment where even one year out is too far to plan for right now. If you prefer, here's the audio-only and the chat transcript.
